How to Coach a Swim Team

Step 1
Learn the rules. In a swim meet there are four different strokes and specific rules for the mechanics of each stroke. This is especially true for younger or beginning swimmers, as incorrect execution of a stroke could result in elimination from a race. Most leagues will have a regulation book that outlines all of the rules for coaches and officials.
Step 2
Research good coaching techniques. Learning the physical and psychological limits of the age group that you are coaching, as well as how to handle their specific needs, is a good idea for anyone coaching a sport. If you're really serious about coaching, you may want to consider taking a course on the subject.
Step 3
Create a practice. If you've never coached swimming before, there's no reason to fret. There are books, videos and websites that not only give examples of stroke drills and endurance-building sets, but also have samples of full practices that are age and skill appropriate.
Step 4
Find an event for each swimmer. After the first few weeks of practice, you should have a fairly good idea of which races your swimmers will be good at. For beginning swimmers, it may take a few meets and some trial and error to find their strengths, but the experienced swimmers will most likely be more than happy to tell you what they're good at (many can tell you their best times right down to the hundredth of a second).
Step 5
Create camaraderie. In individual sports such as swimming and track, it is sometimes easy for an athlete to only focus on his or her best events. Remind your swimmers that as important as personal achievements are, it takes the entire team to win a meet. Encouraging swimmers to cheer each other on, not only at meets but also at practices, will help keep them motivated and feeling like a team.

How to Make Peach Pie

Step 1
Have unbaked pastry dough ready - it should be refrigerated at least 20 minutes and can even be made the day before and kept chilled. (See "How to Make Basic Piecrust," under Related eHows.)
Step 2
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Step 3
Toss peaches lightly in a bowl with lemon juice, sugar, flour and spices.
Step 4
Sprinkle a little more flour onto your work surface.
Step 5
Divide the dough into two balls, one slightly larger than the other. Roll out the larger ball into a circle about 1/8-inch thick and a bit larger than the pan. (See "Roll Out Dough," under Related eHows.)
Step 6
Transfer the rolled dough to the pie pan - it's easier to lift if you drape it over the rolling pin first. Don't stretch the dough to fit in the pan.
Step 7
Trim the edges to a 1-inch overhang. Add the peaches to the dough-lined pan, piling them up slightly in the center. Dot with the cut-up butter.
Step 8
Roll out the other dough ball into a circle about 1/8-inch thick. Place it on top of the peaches and trim the edges to a 1-inch overhang.
Step 9
Fold the top crust over the lower crust and press them together with your fingers. Crimp the edges decoratively, then cut a few vents in the top crust to let steam escape.
Step 10
Brush the egg-water mixture onto the top crust. It will form a shiny glaze as the pie bakes.
Step 11
Place the pie in the oven and bake 10 minutes, then lower the heat to 350 degrees F and bake for another 30 to 40 minutes.

How to Swim the Freestyle Stroke

Step 1
Visualize a line running down the center of your body from your chin to your chest. This line is the axis upon which your whole body should pivot, and it should extend horizontally in the direction you are swimming.
Step 2
Keep your legs straight, but not rigid, with your toes pointed out, and kick up and down. Continue kicking the entire time.
Step 3
Move your arms in a windmill motion opposite each other. While one arm is extended completely out, the other should be all the way back, almost against the side of your body.
Step 4
Keep your hands flat, thumb separated from the index finger and pull the extended arm through the water beneath your body. Bend your arm at the elbow and draw your fingertips along the imaginary line down the center of your body.
Step 5
Lift your other arm out of the water and move it all the way forward as the first arm is pulling beneath you. Bend at the elbow and drag your fingertips along the surface of the water. Penetrate the water with your fingertips and completely extend the arm.
Step 6
Breathe on one side by turning your head to that side as the arm comes out of the water.

How to Make Pumpkin Pie

Step 1
Put an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F.
Step 2
Put eggs into a food processor or large mixing bowl and whisk well.
Step 3
Add pumpkin, evaporated milk, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and salt, and mix. Set aside.
Step 4
Warm the pie crust in the oven until it is hot to the touch.
Step 5
Pour the pumpkin filling into the warmed pie crust and bake about 35 to 40 minutes, or until filling is set but still a bit quivery, like gelatin, when lightly nudged.
Step 6
Cool pie on a rack and refrigerate. Serve either cold, at room temperature or slightly warmed.

How to Hack XP

Step 1
The very first thing you want to do when you are hacking your version of XP is to turn on your computer. Once the BIOS POST test is over, start pressing F8. This will allow you to bring XP into safe mode.
Step 2
After you have gotten XP load boot in safe mode, go into your control panel and select the user icon. From here you are going to create a new computer administrator account. If you try to change your password from at this time, it will not let you because your are not the Administrator of that account.
Step 3
Now that you have created a new account, reboot the computer and let it start normally. Once your computer has booted normally go ahead and open the new account.
Step 4
Once you have opened the new account, you will need to open up the control panel again and open up the user account and now you can change the password to your other account.

How to Hack

Step 1
Learn how to program. Start with a program such as "Python," but learn many programs and the basics of programming.
Step 2
Install Unix on your computer. There are many operating systems out there, but this one is the easiest and best to use if you're going to hack.
Step 3
Teach yourself how a computer system works. There are no schools to learn to hack. There is a site called Hack this Site where you can go to train and test your hacking skills.
Step 4
Practice your skills on a project. Rewrite the program with subtle changes. You should be able to gain access to a file, program or data base that is protected while remaining oblivious to others working on this project.
Step 5
Submit your resumes to companies that need hackers. Some choices are large companies, banks and government agencies but this list is not all inclusive.
Step 6
Hack into the computer system of the company you work for after it hires you. Attempt to access records that are password protected. Your company contract outlines exactly what hacking duties you must perform for the company.
Step 7
Report your findings to the company. You must hack the computer system while remaining totally invisible to others working in the system. Identify the security flaws and ways to patch these flaws so not even you can hack into the computer system again.

How to Hack the Windows Login Screen

Step 1
First you need to download a bootable program and copy it to a floppy disk or CD that, upon bootup of the Windows PC, it will download all the user account passwords to the floppy drive or CD-ROM. Download the Program linked in Resources below.
Step 2
Now put the floppy disk or CD-ROM with program in the Windows Computer that you need to hack the Windows Login and reboot or bootup the PC.
Step 3
Now it has downloaded all the passwords to the disk or CD you will need to use one of two methods to un-encrypt the file to get the passwords.
Step 4
One way is upload the text file to a website and have them decrypt it for you and pay themorYou can search then internet for a free way to decrypt the passwords.Link to do the first way in Resources below. A video of how to do this in linked also in the Resources.

How to Hack Into a Wireless Network

Step 1
Locate the wireless network that you want to connect to. The information on the network should identify the type of hardware used, such as the brand of the router. You can normally get this information by right-clicking on the name of the network and selecting "Network Properties." Make note of this information. If you do not have a way of detecting wireless networks to get the information, use software programs such as Kismet and Netstumbler (see Resources below).
Step 2
Attempt to access the system using default login information. The most common login information is "admin/admin" or "admin/password" for the username and password combination. As silly as that may sound, people actually use these combinations. If these do not work, try using the default login information that the manufacturer programed into the hardware. There is a link in the Resources section to a list of these default log ins. Should these not give you access to the network, continue to the next Step.
Step 3
Obtain a copy of the Aircracks software package. This software consists of four different utilities. Together, these four utilities are all that you'll need to hack into any wireless network.
Step 4
Use Airodump to collect data packets that the network sends out. If you had obtained a copy of Kismet software in Step 1, this program will also collect packets for you. The network will sometimes use the same IV (Initialization Vector) more than once, known as a collision, so by analyzing several thousand packets, you can identify what these repeated vectors are.
Step 5
Continue collecting data packets from the wireless network. The system will periodically send out what is known as an Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) in one of these packets. This is essentially a check to see if the connection is still online. It contains the encryption key that is needed to gain access to the system. However, you will need to collect a large number of data packets before you are lucky enough to capture this one.
Step 6
Open the Aircrack utility and use it to scan the data packets that you have captured. The Aircrack utility will scan these files until it finds the ARP packet with the encryption key. It will then work with the Airdecap program to decrypt the contents of the packet and gain access to the wireless network.

How to Plan a Trip to the Beach

Step 1
It gets HOT, carry some shade!
The first thing to consider when planning your trip to the beach is how your set up will be at your spot. You can make it as simple as having a blanket or towels on the ground to lay down but if you have kids, you may want to consider having a beach umbrella. Children burn so easily in the sun and with the sun beating down on you, you could be feeling your trip for days. Having an umbrella to sit under offers you some shade and relief from the heat, if you need it. You may also want to bring some folding chairs to relax in.
Step 2
Protect your skin!
The second step in planning your trip is to plan for what you expect will be needed. Bring lots of towels, sun screen and water. You can save a bit of money by filling a cooler with ice, soft drinks or water, sandwiches, fruit and chips. Also realize that most parking by a beach is not free so you should have a few dollars of quarters with you and also up to $20 in cash. If you plan to play in the water with a boogie board, surf board or water games like paddle tennis, bring those too.
Step 3
Plan for the unexpected.
The third step in planning your trip is to plan for the unexpected. Carry some cash with you in case you buy any ice cream from a traveling vendor, decide to go to dinner at a local restaurant, or want to play at an arcade or pier. Also, make sure you have a first aid kit in your car in the event one is needed. Finally, have an extra set of clothes in your car in the event that the clothes you came in get dirty or wet and you need to put on fresh clothing.I hope you have a great time! Enjoy the beach!

How to Choose Travel Day Outfits

Step 1
Look for an outfit that is comfortable. When you are traveling you will probably be sitting for a long period of time. You need to choose clothing that is not restrictive and that allows you to move around into different positions to become comfortable. You want to make sure that you can relax in those clothes and, for example, take a nap, assuming you are not driving.
Step 2
Pick an outfit that's practical. Depending on what it is that you are going to be doing and how you are going to be traveling, you may want to make sure you have on an outfit that has pockets. It might be that, if you are traveling by air, you may want to be able to have pockets to carry various personal items such as a stick of gum or something similar. If you are traveling in your car it is obviously not as important that you have pockets, so feel free to choose an outfit that may be more comfortable but pocketless.
Step 3
Check the weather in your destination and dress appropriate to the weather. If you are traveling during cold weather you’ll want to be sure and dress in layers. That way, if you get hot you can remove a layer of clothing to cool yourself down. Remember you can always take a layer of clothing off if you have it on; whereas if you don’t have that extra layer of clothing with you then there is not really any good way to get warm.
Step 4
Dress appropriate to the occasion. If you are traveling for business and if you are going to be met at your destination by others in your company or a company you are doing business with you will want to dress appropriately. Dress in such a way that it meets the standards of the company you are representing.
Step 5
Insure that your traveling day outfit matches your destination. If you are flying out of Michigan and arriving in Florida you’ll look awful silly getting off the plane wearing a parka. Make sure you know what the weather is going to be like at your destination and dress accordingly.

How to Pass Exams in Higher Institutions

Step 1
Pay attention in class. Take notes on important information and be prepared to ask questions. Be sure to highlight any material that is especially emphasized by the professor. Refrain from unnecessary conversations and interaction. Change your seat if needed, to avoid distractions.
Step 2
Organize your study materials. Purchase items such as notebooks, folders, and binders to help separate learning material into categories. File all classroom handouts and previous tests for reuse as reference materials. If necessary, rewrite study notes to ensure they are legible.
Step 3
Study and review daily. This helps reinforce the lessons and decreases the chances of excluding needed material. Complete all homework and projects in a neat and timely manner. Schedule more intense study sessions in the weeks prior to the exam.
Step 4
Find a study buddy. Having a partner can help to reinforce lessons and prevent boredom. Choose a competent study partner to prevent you from losing focus or the drive to complete studying.
Step 5
Get the proper rest. Resist the temptation to party all night on the eve of the exam. Focus on success on the exam, and get a full night's rest.
Step 6
Receive plenty of rest.

How to Pass Your Next Big Exam

Step 1
First, pick a time to study alone. You will need peace and quite to put forth 100% effort in your work. Try your room, outside on the porch swing, a libray, or even the bathroom if you have to.
Step 2
Next, read the material the whole way through. You will need to read all of the chapters that your exam covers. Do not skip this part it is so important. If you do not understand something read it again until you do or ask for a classmate or instructor to explain it to you.
Step 3
Quiz yourself. You know those annoying chapter review questions...use them. They are a great place to test your knowledge. If you get a question wrong go back and review.
Step 4
Take notes both in class and on your own. The more you write it down, the more it will burn itself into your brain.
Step 5
Use flash cards. These work great for vocabulary words and for math. Have a friend help you study with them. You can make your own with blank index cards.
Step 6
If you are always on the go, record your notes onto a tape or cd. That way you can listen to them while driving in the car, jogging, waiting in the waiting room at the doctors, riding the bus, anywhere.
Step 7
Get plenty of sleep the night before. The better rested you are the better will your mind will work the morning of the big exam.
Step 8
Take breaks. Your mind does it's best work within the first 30mins of studying. So take a small 5 min break every 30 mins to clear your head. Go to the restroom or get a drink ten back to studying.
Step 9
Above all else don't give up. Keep studying and don't put it off till the last min.

How to Beat Test Anxiety

Step 1
Study early and often. If you start to study a couple of days before a test, that may still be “cramming,” and cramming is not an effective study technique. Here’s a study plan to consider. Study notes immediately after class ends (ten to twenty minutes reading over notes taken that day). Then, that same night, read over those same notes for ten to twenty minutes again. Doing so will vastly improve retention of information. Finally, on weekends, spend one day reading over notes taken that week and then the second weekend day studying all notes taken since the previous test.
Step 2
Read assigned text. There are professors who create tests that are entirely based on textbook material. Consequently, if a student does not read the assigned chapters, he or she will find it difficult to be successful on exams, especially if the professor doesn’t cover text material in class. To enhance your retention of text material, generate outlines of textbook chapters.
Step 3
Ask school’s counseling staff for additional advice. College counseling centers are often staffed with professionals trained to assist students in dealing with test anxiety. Ask these counselors for additional advice. There is no shame in doing so. Quite frankly, making the effort, something I wish I had done, shows how dedicated to learning a student is.

How to Make Your Marriage Last

Step 1
Prepare to be married before you get married. This can be done with premarital counseling or just by sitting down and talking.
Step 2
Decide how your household will operate and who will have which roles. Often finances and children are never discussed until later in the marriage and an incompatibility is discovered.
Step 3
Talk about your religious and moral beliefs. What are your goals for the future? Where do you each see yourselves in 10 years? Is it the same place?
Step 4
Use common sense when arguments ensue. Don't use character assassination to make you look or feel better. You are just going to cause resentment with the other person.
Step 5
Designate a place that you can both come to compromise. Maybe you have a peaceful place in the garden or work better together in the kitchen.
Step 6
Implement a date night once a month and stick with it!
Step 7
Listen to the other person and let them finish their sentence completely before responding. Cutting people off is a huge sign of disrespect.
Step 8
Keep the spark alive. Intimacy is a very important part of any relationship.
